Shirky rules:-) He is everywhere I believe. Good to see the information about Olivia. I didn't know they had developed it to a more participatory service.

We run an
answering service in the more traditional sense of live phone answering, so I happened across your post here as I was reading news articles about different answering services.

Interesting that the answering service you reference is more of a question and answer exchange for children, in a collaborative sense. So much of our service to date have been focused just on a one way dialogue of taking a question and not necessarily building the collaborative knowledge base that you mentioned. I wonder if businesses could also employ this type of wiki / collaborative approach from their own customers to build a collective knowledge base. I think that the concept could apply not just to library and knowledge for children, which is wonderful to hear, but it could also empower businesses to allow customers to build and inform others of their collective answers to common questions as more often than not the same questions are answered over and over again.

Interesting post, I am happy I stumbled upon it.

Thanks - Michael

Chapeau!
